Echo is the coordinating judge for Illustrators of the Future, a prestigious competition for illustrators early in their career. The contest is a platform for established artists to work with and support new professionals in an effort to pay it forward to the next generation. Many go on to have successful careers, which is best seen in their recent work, including new sci-fi and fantasy books and magazines.

Echo was honored to present this year's Grand Prize with Bob Eggleton, the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award. She was also published in Volume 35 and given credit on the cover for her article on art direction.

Other Illustration judges include Wil Eisner, Frank Frazetta, Jack Kirby, Johnathon Fries, Laura Brodian Freas Beraha, Val Lakey-Lindahn, Larry Elmore, Bob Eggleton, and Lazarus Chernik.
